Comment Policy

Your comments are welcome and appreciated.

Comments are a vital part of online community and discussion.  I tend to be overzealous in identifying comment spam, so if I’ve mistakenly flagged you as a spammer, please contact me and make your case.

There are just a few ground rules around here:

  • Nobody goes around calling themselves “Toledo Carpet Cleaning.” If you are using a suspect handle to identify yourself, I’ll either edit your signature or delete your comment.
  • Stay on topic. I’m pretty famous for tangential flights of fancy, so if I think it’s off-topic, it’s probably pretty damn off-topic.
  • Got an -ism to share? I’m not a fan of hate speech, and I know there are plenty of neighborhoods on the ‘Net to network with other hate-mongers. Not here, thanks.
  • Personal attacks against the author are at times tolerated, but most likely not. Libel against 3rd parties is not acceptable.
  • Irrelevant links are not accepted. If you link to items relevant to the post and other comments, we’ll likely not have a problem (particularly if you are pointing to a site other than your own).
  • I’d appreciate you trying to keep things on the moderately-profane side of the spectrum. I evaluate language on a case by case basis. If your comment is relevant, please excuse my edit if it’s a bit too much for me.

Bottom line: I genuinely appreciate your attention and engagement. As long as you’re not actively trying to spam Offroad Marketer or show off  a personality disorder, I doubt you’ll have difficulty commenting here.
